Tarot
What to expect from a Tarot reading with me.
My consultations last about one hour. I don’t record them, but you are welcome to take notes, or bring your own recording device.
I don’t believe that our future is set in stone. I believe that our thoughts, our words, our actions, and our decisions shape our present and our future. In my opinion we cannot control everything, but we are much more powerful than we often think.
A Tarot reading can sometime change the future. How? When you get more insight on a situation, you may come to see opportunities you hadn’t noticed, or discover new ways to face existing challenges. I never tell you what to do, but the new information may cause you to reconsider your path.
During a reading I work with you, the client, to interpret the information given by the Tarot in the clearest and most helpful way possible. My Tarot readings don’t delve far into the future. Most times 6 months is as far as I will look. This is because if our future is being reshaped constantly, the farther we look, the less accurate the result will be. For this reason, there will be questions that will not work out well. Let me give you an example.
You wonder if your current relationship will survive once you move away to college a year from now. I would suggest you book a reading when you are about to leave and not much sooner.
Asking if you will ever meet your soul mate is not a good question. Asking what you are doing right to attract a good partner, or what you are doing instead that sabotages your desire, are good questions.
In my view Tarot are like very wise, practical, straightforward friends. They like it when you are direct. They will answer your questions honestly, even when the answer is not what you were hoping for.
Good questions for Tarot are those that concern your self, and that are about the past, present or near future. Also, any inquiry that doesn’t require a yes or no answer. Let me give you an example.
A love reading.
To ask if your partner is cheating on you, or if he or she loves you, is not the best way to approach the Tarot. Looking into the mind and life of those that are not present goes against my ethics. What I would suggest instead is to find out the state of your relationship. I would look into the past, confront it to the present and see where it is heading.
I would ask questions like:
What is the strength of the relationship? Where are the weaknesses? How are you contributing to the problems? What can you do to improve the situation? Factors to consider. Likely outcome.
If there is a third party involved it is likely to come up, as if there is no love left in the relationship. The difference is that you are looking at your own life and what is affecting it. In that contest you may find out the third party is not the real threat, rather a symptom of a bigger problem.
The point I am trying to make is that a Tarot reading should be empowering. I strive to give you a better understanding of the situation you are facing. I will try to pin point things you may have overlooked, like opportunities or challenges. I will give you alternatives to consider. In the end the choice is yours. You have free will and that is a powerful and beautiful thing.
Please take a moment to read my Code of Ethics.
Thank you.
